The "ready-to-ride" according to Berthoud

In addition to our custom-made offer, we have imagined a "ready-to-ride" program, with which we offer our customers the possibility to access the quality of a fully equipped handmade touring bike, for a budget and a timeframe more contained than for a 100% custom-made bike. It is with this in mind that we have selected all the equipment and peripherals, which we wanted to be reliable and consistent with the constraints related to hiking, and which will be common to all the bikes in this program. Of course, for those who would like a more personalized assembly, the frame + fork kit option represents an alternative of choice.

With this first model we also want to offer a more modern interpretation of our classic touring bikes. With more than 40 years of experience in the field of touring bikes, we have designed this one, a true blend of a proven recipe and the modern influences of our youngest recruits.

Features

The Berthoud JM-19 is a bike designed to take you far, as fast as you want, while remaining comfortable. Its complete equipment will make it your ideal ally for brevet randonneurs right up to the ultimate Paris-Brest-Paris event in the summer of 2019 - the occasion for which we are launching this model - regardless of weather conditions and road conditions.
Indeed, the 650B wheels mounted with 38mm tires make this bike as comfortable on the road as on the trails, offering versatility and handling without sacrificing performance and comfort for long days of exploration.
